Phenomenal Science

Phenomenal Science is a regional collaboration between the Science, Mathematics, Technology center at CMU and the Great Lakes Bay ISDs to develop K-5 Science Units through professional learning.  It includes engineering practices, higher order thinking, science inquiry, and crucial evidence that meet the needs of a three dimensional approach to science instruction. These units are based on the NGSS and the Framework for K-12 Science Education.

The units are:

• Student Centered and student driven
• Inquiry and discovery based
• Socially constructed understanding through talk, argument, and writing
