Good afternoon families of fourth graders in Mrs. Wentzel's Class,
What a great first day of school! :) Thank you for bringing in supplies and a special thank you to those that brought it fans-it gets very hot in here! It was so great to begin to get to know each of your kiddos. The next two weeks will revolve around creating our classroom culture, getting to know each other, acing our routines/procedures, and dipping our toes into some 4th grade curriculum.
Today I sent home a Reading Log (students should read daily and fill out). This is not to be turned-in until it is complete (front and back). Have your child keep their log in their 'Take-Home Folder' that I gave to them at Open House. We will normally have weekly HW packets handed out on Mondays and due the following Monday, but it will be different this week. Tonight's homework is their 'All About Me' bag activity. Later this week you will see an announcement from me containing information (as well as login information) concerning the AR reading program and MobyMax. (PS. I LOVE MOBYMAX!)
Please make sure to complete and send in with your child the questionnaire sheet, Child and family info sheet, the green and purple forms that are in your child's 'Take Home Folder'.
