On Tuesday, April 11th, current FRCHS Engineering CAD students Ryan Pagano and Keagan Standifer along with former students Duncan Broadbent, Ross Rainey, and Calvin Thayer attended the Southeast Michigan/Northwest Ohio SolidWorks User Group (SWUG) meeting at Monroe County Community College. The three hour meeting included a dinner, professional development seminars, door prizes, and (potentially most importantly) an opportunity to network with post-secondary educators, technology vendors, and business people (potential employers!). Ryan and Keagan where able to get input from Ross and Calvin who are now working for engineering companies. Ross is working for Oak Tree Engineering LLC based in Monroe. They design and develop various manufacturing processes and equipment for the Plastics Industry. Calvin is designing computer cases for Dynics Inc. located in Ann Arbor.
